About Wildalaya
Our journey began amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Himalayas, where inspiration struck and Wildalaya was born. Join us as we weave dreams into reality, one stitch at a time, creating a world where fashion thrives in harmony with nature
Wildalaya is a slow fashion label born from my love for nature, storytelling, and heritage. We create clothing from hemp and natural fabrics—pieces that are breathable, durable, and timeless, designed to be worn and cherished for years.
Our philosophy is simple: clothing should feel good on your skin, tell a meaningful story, and leave the lightest footprint on the earth.
Our Story
I grew up in India surrounded by vibrant textiles, traditional prints, and the artistry of handmade work. Growing up, my mum never wore synthetic clothing, and naturally, I wasn’t inclined towards it either. I always ended up with cotton or linen. Linen was expensive, but I still treasure the few pieces I own; they taught me to appreciate fabrics that breathe, age beautifully, and feel alive. That curiosity eventually led me to discover a new fabric, hemp.
Moving to Australia, I found myself missing that connection, those fabrics that carried culture, history, and soul. That longing sparked Wildalaya: a way to blend my Indian roots with my values of sustainability and conscious living. Hemp became the heart of Wildalaya. It’s one of the world’s most sustainable fibres using little water, growing without harmful chemicals, and lasting for years. Paired with hand-block printing and artisanal craftsmanship from India, each piece carries not just fabric, but a story.
From my little home in Perth, I design and carefully pack each order, knowing it has travelled a journey of love and intention. Every dress, top, and co-ord is made in small batches with artisans in India, ensuring fair work and preserving age-old techniques.
Wildalaya is more than clothing. It’s a bridge between my roots in India and my life in Australia, between tradition and modernity, and between fashion and sustainability. One piece at a time, it’s my way of bringing soulful, sustainable fashion into the world.
