There was a time when getting dressed felt like a task.
Standing in front of a full wardrobe and still feeling like there was “nothing to wear”. Too tight. Too loud. Too much effort for the kind of day I was actually having.
Somewhere along the way, I realised it wasn’t about having more clothes, it was about having the right ones.
Getting dressed without overthinking it has become a quiet goal of mine. Not because I don’t care about how I look, but because I care more about how I feel moving through the day.

Choosing ease over perfection
These days, I reach for pieces that don’t ask too many questions of me.
Clothes that move when I move. That sit softly on the body. That don’t need adjusting, tugging, or constant checking.
Wrap silhouettes, loose tops, breathable fabrics, they give me room to just be. On busy mornings, slow mornings, and everything in between.
There’s something comforting about knowing a piece will work whether I’m sitting at my desk, heading out for a walk, or meeting someone for coffee.
Repeating outfits, guilt-free
I’ve also made peace with outfit repeating.
In fact, I’ve come to love it.
Wearing the same piece again and again takes the pressure off decision-making. It creates familiarity. It turns clothes into companions rather than statements.
Some of my favourite Wildalaya pieces are the ones that feel most lived in, softened by time, shaped by movement, holding quiet memories of everyday life.

Letting go of “saving” clothes
I no longer save clothes for a special occasion.
The day you’re in is the occasion.
When something feels good on your body, it deserves to be worn — to the market, on a workday, while travelling, or simply at home. Clothes don’t need an audience to matter.
A gentler way of getting dressed
Getting dressed without overthinking it isn’t about minimalism rules or capsule wardrobe formulas. It’s about listening.
Listening to the weather.
Listening to your body.
Listening to the pace of your day.
Some days call for structure. Most days call for softness.
And if getting dressed can be one less thing to stress over — one small moment of ease — then that feels like a win worth choosing, every morning.
